About

Roy Kim Design is a multifaceted design consultancy, offering services in:
-design (interior and architectural)

-design consulting (strategy and management)
-design representation (business development)

Prior to starting his own company, Roy was the Chief Creative Officer for Douglas Elliman New Development, where he was responsible for the design, development, and marketing of innovative multi-family dwellings. His experience in new development is multi-faceted: from the design side, the developer side, and the sales/brokerage side. He began his career at Corcoran Sunshine and then became an SVP at Extell Development. During his 8 year tenure, he shifted the focus of the firm toward world class architecture and design, collaborating with the best designers in the world.  Roy has worked on over $40 billion worth of luxury new development, including: 432 Park, The Residences at the West Hollywood Edition, 87 Park, 432 Park, One57, the Park Hyatt New York, the Carlton House, 1010 Park Avenue, 70 Charlton, Central Park Tower, the Gem Tower, 152 Elizabeth Street, and 100 East 53 Street, to name a few. He has taught in the Masters of Real Estate program at Columbia University, and holds an M.Arch and BSc. from the University of British Columbia.  His work has been seen in Interior Design Magazine and the New York Times, as well as in the documentary 'Super Skyscrapers: the Billionaires' Building'.

Having been immersed in the worlds of development, design and suppliers/vendors, he now advises these three groups and acts as a connector between them.  He also designs interior projects, which is the foundation of his other skills and services.  He is currently designing a house in upstate NY.
